
Dr. Ajoy Mishra (born on 30 September 1958 in Sarisab-Pahi, Madhubani, Mithila) is a distinguished literary scholar and creative writer known for his contributions to Hindi, Maithili, and Bundeli literature. He holds both Ph.D. and D.Litt. degrees, and his research works have been published by reputed academic publishers.
Over the course of his academic career, Dr. Mishra served as a faculty member in the Department of Hindi at Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, and taught for more than three decades in government colleges of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. His literary works, research papers, and stories have earned wide recognition, with several of his stories being broadcast by All India Radio.
An accomplished author, translator, editor, and researcher, Dr. Mishra has published acclaimed story collections such as Charulata and Chakravyuh, authored scholarly works and biographies, translated notable literary texts, and edited numerous academic journals and books. More than a hundred of his research papers have been published in national and international forums.
Following his retirement, he continues to dedicate himself to literary creation, cultural preservation, social awareness, and the service of his native land through meaningful intellectual and creative pursuits.
