
Dr. Makhmoor Ahmad Bhat completed his B.V.Sc. & A.H. from Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and earned his M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. in Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. His research work has focused on toxicological and pharmacological investigations, including studies entitled “Effects of the Free Radical Scavenger Aminoguanidine on Sub-acute Amikacin Toxicity in Wistar Rats” and “Bioprospection of Bergenia ciliata for its Antioxidant, Antidiabetic, Hepato- and Nephroprotective Effects.”
He previously served as Assistant Professor at Tantia University Sri Ganganagar Rajasthan. Dr. Bhat has teaching and research experience in veterinary pharmacology, toxicology, and therapeutics, with academic interests centered on antimicrobial pharmacology, mechanisms of toxicity, and clinical therapeutics in animals. He has contributed to veterinary education through teaching, academic writing, and student mentorship.
Presently, he is working as Lecturer in the Division of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, where he is actively engaged in teaching, research, and other academic activities in veterinary sciences.
