Dr. Subhashini Selvaraj

Dr. Subhashini Selvaraj is a dedicated agricultural scholar specializing in Genetics and Plant Breeding, with a strong research focus on cotton and sorghum improvement. She earned her Ph.D. from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, where she explored the molecular, morphological, and biochemical foundations of jassid resistance in cotton, contributing multiple impactful publications and research advancements.

Her scholarly work spans genetic variability, fibre quality enhancement, cytological studies, and biochemical screening, reflecting her deep commitment to crop improvement and sustainable agriculture. As a life member of the Electronic Journal of Plant Breeding, she continues to contribute to the scientific community through active research, authorship, and collaboration.

Her work exemplifies a blend of scientific rigor, innovation, and passion for advancing plant breeding in India. She had worked in Sugarcane breeding Institute, Coimbatore on CRISPR project for nine months and currently working as assistant professor in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy.
