Laxman Singh Tyagi

Laxman Singh Tyagi, known by his pen name Ritesh, was born on 25 August 1986 in village Badrika, tehsil Sainpau, district Dholpur, Rajasthan, into a modest farming family. His father is Shri Ramesh Chandra Tyagi (Deenanath Ji) and his mother is Smt. Indra Tyagi. Ritesh is the third among four siblings.

His early education began at the government school in his village. After completing his higher secondary education, he earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Government College, Dholpur. While living in Dholpur, he also completed his B.Ed., followed by an M.Ed. from Gwalior.

Considering his family’s financial situation, he began working as a teacher in private schools after completing his higher secondary education. On 8 July 2013, he was appointed as a government teacher in Panna district, Madhya Pradesh.

At present, he is working as a teacher at Government Rudra Pratap Excellent Higher Secondary School, Panna, Madhya Pradesh. Alongside teaching, he is actively engaged in independent writing and literary creation. More than forty of his literary works have been published in various national and regional magazines and journals. Recently, his first book, “Siskati Raatein” (a collection of short stories), has been published through Pothi Publishing and has been well appreciated by readers.
